How do I treat coccidiosis?

Anticoccidials like diclazuril (Dycoxan) or toltrazuril (Chanox) will act to stop the coccidia lifecycle in the infected animal and prevent further oocyst shedding. However, as with all diarrhoea cases in cattle, our animal may need additional therapy if the symptoms have progressed enough – particularly rehydration therapy. Coccidiosis is largely a sub-clinical, or silent, disease.
